Moose and Muskrat
The other day i had almost walked into the house when Holly asked if i had seen the moose lying in the yard. Of course i had missed it!
You have to be almost blind to miss something as big as this. (My eyesight is very bad.)
Here is a fat muskrat swimming by the camera. There are two of them in a pond back in the woods.

40,000 lbs/sq. in.
40,000 lbs per square inch is how much pressure water changing to ice makes. It broke this heavy pipe like it was an eggshell.
This is where it happened on our reformer. It is a big furnace with lots of pipes inside. The visqueen area is where the damage was done.
The new valve on the bottom right will prevent the same thing from happening next winter.
Welders from Louisiana came up and did a fine job of welding in tough places to reach.
Another photo of the new piping.
Getting ready to start up again. Our shift worked for 5 straight weeks with only one or two days off because of the way the schedule worked out with the piping problems.
Rolling the Syngas on May 1 or 2.
