Easy Fishing
You can see all the dipnetters lining the mouth of the Kenai River. The other side of the river has lots of folks also. We can use a 5 foot net and just wait for the wild Red Salmon to swim into it. This day i was fortunate enough to get about 5 or 6 salmon in about an hour. We used the new golf cart to haul the heavy bucket of fish to the car.
Born 7-7-50. August 4th 2008 was our last day at the ammonia plant. It was an enjoyable job for nearly 32 years. We are running out of natural gas in Cook Inlet which was used along with air and steam to make ammonia fertilizer. The plant is being mothballed now just in case someone makes another big discovery in a few years, or maybe they will pipe some gas down from the North Slope, and then perhaps it could be started up again. If you have any good job offers let me know.
