This is an experiment to learn how to blog. It will contain some photos of Alaska, some webpages i like, books to read, some thoughts about the Bible, and some personal stuff for friends and family. CLICK ON THE PHOTOS FOR A BIGGER VIEW.
Finally getting a few days off, so trying to catch up on some blogging. Happened to catch a film about Jackson Pollack on the DISH. I like modern art, and especially the abstract patterns that he painted. His paintings look a lot like the woods with fresh snow sticking on all the branches. It was quite cold and the frost makes nice designs on our garage door.
Born 7-7-50. August 4th 2008 was our last day at the ammonia plant. It was an enjoyable job for nearly 32 years. We are running out of natural gas in Cook Inlet which was used along with air and steam to make ammonia fertilizer. The plant is being mothballed now just in case someone makes another big discovery in a few years, or maybe they will pipe some gas down from the North Slope, and then perhaps it could be started up again. If you have any good job offers let me know.
